Queensland will be hosting its first-ever National Dodgeball Championships, and we are now opening team selections for our Queensland state squads.
Selections will be held across two dates for our Foam divisions: Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed. We are also taking expressions of interest for the Men’s and Mixed Cloth divisions.
Players hoping to be selected for a Foam team must attend at least one selection session. Attending both sessions will be viewed favourably. If you are unable to attend either date, you must email qlddodgeball.association@gmail.com with your reason for being unavailable, your previous dodgeball experience, and why you believe you would be a strong fit for the Queensland team.
Final selections will be made by the team coaches, with oversight from a committee to help ensure the process is as fair and competitive as possible. Final teams, reserves, and training squad selections will be announced on 24 April.
Due to the current depth and competitiveness of dodgeball in Queensland, male players may only compete in one Foam division. Players will therefore be asked to nominate their preferred division.
To help coaches identify players during selections, all attendees are asked to wear a jersey with a number and, if possible, their name.
